October is here, bringing with it the spookiest of holidays, as well as some spooky LEGO sets. But also some Christmas sets. And some Star Wars sets. There aren’t a ton of new LEGO releases this month, but there are some remarkable ones, including a retro gaming handheld, a pricy space weapon, and more. Here’s every LEGO set coming in October 2025.

If you're not into the act of blurb reading, you can find all the new sets in the catalog above.

LEGO Star Wars: Death Star (and Free GWP)

If you thought other LEGO sets were expensive, you haven’t seen anything yet. This truly massive cross-section of the Empire’s signature weapon of mass destruction is a sight to behold. It’s part of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series, and it costs just a penny shy of a grand (before tax). But it’s filled with basically every room in the Death Star that appeared in the original trilogy. Pretty awesome, if you don’t mind buying the most expensive LEGO set ever released. Also, this set is available October 1 for LEGO Insiders (you can sign up here for free) and October 4 for everyone else.

Also, this set comes with a Gift With Purchase, a smaller set you get for free just for buying this one. It's TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack (see it here). This GWP is unique in that it's designed to fit right into the hangar room in the Death Star set, filling the space nicely. I'm not sure why they didn't just include this in the Death Star set, but they didn't!

LEGO Gremlins: Gizmo

Everyone’s favorite fuzzy little guy from the ‘80s is finally getting his own LEGO set. It’s Gizmo, and he even comes with buildable 3D glasses. Just remember the rules so your house isn’t overrun by mischievous Gremlins.

LEGO Game Boy

Believe it or not, this brick-built re-creation of Nintendo’s classic gaming handheld is the bestselling item of the year for IGN commerce. It’s easy to see why: it’s a 1:1 scale version of a beloved childhood item for gamers of a certain age. It’s also affordable at just $59.99, and it's one of the best Nintendo LEGO sets available. Check out our We Build LEGO Game Boy feature and then grab it if you want it.

LEGO Star Wars: Gingerbread AT-AT Walker

If you thought the LEGO Star Wars theme had no sense of humor, how wrong you were. In the grand tradition of the annual Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar, this set adds a whole lot of Yuletide cheer to one of the most imposing creations of the Empire. It even comes with a gingerbread Darth Vader holding a candy cane. It’s silly and ridiculous, and I absolutely love it.

New LEGO Wednesday Sets

Two new sets based on the Netflix show Wednesday are out in October. We have Morticia’s Cottage, which is appropriately gothic and also comes with a black car. Then there’s Thing’s apartment, which has everything a disembodied hand could need.

LEGO Botanicals: Bouquet of Pink Roses

LEGO plants and flowers sets always sell well. That’s probably because they look great, they work as actual decorations, and you don’t even have to water them. Pick up this set as a Christmas or Valentine’s Day gift, or to add a little color to your home or office.

New LEGO Christmas Sets

A slew of holiday-themed LEGO sets is out this month, including a gingerbread house, a family Christmas tree, an up-scaled Santa minifigure, and a pair of snowman ornaments. But the coolest one in my book is probably the Holiday Express Train, which is big enough to put around the base of your Christmas tree. It also comes with a tiny train that's the first-ever 3D printed LEGO piece.

LEGO Mineral Collection

Another set that works as a decoration piece for your shelf, desk, or dresser is this mineral collection. You build some stands and then you build the gems: golden pyrite, purple amethyst, reddish-pink rhodochrosite, blue fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, and tangerine quartz. When you’re done, you have a colorful piece to put wherever you’d like.

LEGO Transformers: Soundwave Is Available at Amazon

This set originally came out in August, but it was a LEGO Store exclusive back then. It's now available at Amazon, where some people prefer to do their LEGO shopping. We built this set, so check out that article for a close look at the building process and why it's so cool.

LEGO Speed Champions Lightning McQueen Is Up for Preorder

For fans of Pixar's Cars, you can now preorder a great, low-priced (and low piece count) build of Lightning McQueen. It's not out until January 1, though.
